Karigasniemi

Karigasniemi is a good base for exploring the surrounding areas in Finland and Norway. The road between Utsjoki and Karigasniemi is one of the most beautiful in Finland. Finland's northernmost destination, Nuorgam, is easily accessible from Karigasniemi.  

Norwegian destinations such as the Arctic Ocean, Nordkapp and Alta Canyon are a moderate drive from Karigasniemi. In the nearest Norwegian village, Kaarasjoki, you can get acquainted with, among other things, Norwegian life and Sámi culture.
